Zumwald: The Official Campground of Oregons Country Fair '99

Vivid Curve is a group of Bend, Oregon based musician friends (Tony Sciola, Guitar/Mandolin/Vocals & Vince Adams, Didgeridoo + Nameless others on dejiembe, electric/acoustic guitars) camping in the Zumwalt Campground (Pictured above) during the 4 days of the extraordinary '99 Oregon Country Fair.  The warm evening hours were mostly devoted to lively conversation and playing some favorites with various acoustic instruments

Recordings were done by using the Sonic Studios DSM-6S/EH  model mics directly connected to a Sony TCD-D100 DAT (MOD-2 upgraded).  DSM mics were mounted on the LiteGUY HRTF baffle.

The LiteGUY was itself mounted on a handheld 'fishpole' mic boom for 5-7 foot extended reach.

The recording microphones position was about 2 foot distance and between Tony's acoustic guitar and vocals on most selections.

The record process was real-time monitored for optimum recording position by wearing a set of Sony MDR-D77 phones.
